I built too several Acroporid coral species and have cloned it into expression
vectors. The structure and function of variants of this compound is currently
under intense investigation by my laboratory. We now have the full length sequence
of this protein and have submitted a worldwide Patent through the University
of Sydney. We have already had serious interest in developing commercial uses
of the compound from two major biotech companies in the USA.
